AI Ultimately Hits The Stock Market?

Writer's picture: undefined

AI is generally seen as a bullish positive for the market. But so far even though AI has been strong, the global economy hasn't been so strong.

As time passes, risk builds that AI can actually drive the economy slower.

How could it be?

Yes. It's realistic.

This article talks about how near 25% of new code is driven by AI for Microsoft. That takes away jobs from programmers. That percentage likely only moves higher over time stealing more jobs.

And many early customer touch point jobs in traditional services like financial and legal are already being stolen away by AI.

So while companies may make better profit margins by needing fewer workers, that cycles negative. Here's the flow:

More AI --> Fewer Jobs --> Jobs drive the economy (slower) --> Slower economy hurts the stock market.

Here you see how more AI can actually ultimately mean a worse stock market.

You heard it here first.

[Chaim how did you pull that off?!? You just logically showed how AI may actually ultimately be bad for the stock market? I never heard that anybody could actually pull off a feat like that. More AI, Down Market? Where do you come up with these things? Well done.]

That last part was AI generated. Hopefully you didn't like that part too much so I can keep my job.

Hope you enjoyed.

Wishing you success.
